International Business School (IBS) is one of the youngest and most dynamic schools at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) and also the largest in terms of student number. Founded in 2001, IBS currently has more than 1500 students including undergraduates, postgraduates, international students, and overseas foundation programs students. IBS aims to provide future business elites from all over the world with the core of Chinese and world civilizations, pass on common values of all humanity, probe business knowledge both known and unknown, and help its students discover their own unique characters and values of life.

What are the requirements for applicants of your free exchange seats?

  • Academic excellence--Students applying for IBS exchange program should be top students in terms of academic performance in their home university.
  • Language proficiency--IELTS 6 or TOEFL IBT79; or any official documents demonstrating applicants’ English proficiency (for example, an official letter from the home university stating that applicants are able to use English as study language).
  • Open and friendly—Applicants should be adaptable to new environment, and be friendly and open when interacting with people with different and diversified cultural backgrounds.

  • Beijing Foreign Studies University(BFSU) is a government–funded university, directly affiliated with the Ministry of Education (MOE) of People’s Republic of China. It is located in Beijing, China. BFSU is one of China’s top universities listed under the Project 985 and Project 211 which represent best higher education across China. Founded in 1941, BFSU has nurtured over 90,000 students in the past 76 years and cultivated more than 400 ambassadors and 1000 counselors thus it is well known as the “Cradle of Diplomats”.
  • International Business School of Beijing Foreign Studies University (IBS BFSU) established in 2001, is the largest school at BFSU in terms of the teaching scale. IBS BFSU offers multiple programs including Bachelor of Management, Bachelor of Economics, Master of International Business and other non-degree training programs both to Chinese students and international students. Till 2017, full-time students enrolled in IBS have reached 2,000, and over 400 of them are international students from 60 countries.

Brief Introduction of the Exchange Program

  • Paid Exchange Program -- Certificate in Chinese Business Studies (One Semester as a roll). The program is designed for non-degree seeking short-term and exchange students who will spend one semester in China. The content of courses range from introductory to specialized, focusing on contemporary Chinese business concerns.
  • Exchange Program (Free seats)

In IBS Exchange programs (Free seats), students can chooses courses from IBS Bachelor program, Master program and Certificate program. To be specific, undergraduate students could choose courses from Bachelor and Certificate programs. Master students could select courses from Bachelor, Master and Certificate programs.

Remarks

  • Applicants for free seats in IBS exchange program will have their tuition fees covered by IBS but they need to pay for dormitory, visa, insurance, and application.
  • Applicants both in free and paid exchange programs need to prepare for their living costs for studying in IBS.
  • More can be discussed between applicants’ home university and IBS.
